For this WordPress weekly photo challenge I’ve gone for the oversized, profuse, ample proportioned version of ‘Big’.
- a wisteria that twines from basement to top floor of the Freud café-bar in Shaftesbury avenue
- nearby, immense coloured reels of rope and cord from the centenarian chandlery of A. Beale
- and further down Covent Garden, the huge wooden figure of Monmouth coffee…
…but size is relative and looks are deceivng as it is only the reflection of windows opposite that makes a giant of a three foot figure in the coffee shop window

A very wonderful photos ! BRAVA Orofiorentino from Italy
an easier theme – big things all around us!
Love it:)
Leah, I liked the ‘big face in the windows’ so much made a greetings card with the ‘Mocha Marchmont Man’
Wonderful photos! Quality composition and interesting interpretation. Great!
thank you – the trio just happened as I took my camera in search for ‘big’
Deceiving, indeed. If you had not stated it, I would never think that the wooden figure is actually just three feet tall.
makes you think! although even 3 foot must look big to a mouse
Yes, it’s all relative isn’t it?! Great shots, love the wooden man!
thank you – he has a wonderfully bland expression – nothing like the coffees made here
Great imagery using the coffee shop window. Loved it.
