Near and Far

zoom and far shots in London square

Near & Far: The top row are zoomed to about 50/60% from the view I had in the images below, which is a good enough clarity from my Ricoh CX3. Lovely textures too on the monochrome setting, for these sunny, early morning shots in the park.

I’m always aware of the moral dilemma with zooming in, which can feel a bit like spying but people act more naturally when not focused on. My ethical rule of thumb is to be sensitive to contexts and zoom out of any scenario that is too intimate or suspicious. After all, I remember what happened in the film ‘Blow Up’

Addendum: After nearly a year of blogging, post titles can become repetitious but this is an entirely different shot for the WPC: Near and Far
