Up close against the glass frontage, the lens records the demise of a ‘Scotch Steak House’. For the sake of taste, it’s best captured in high-contrast monochrome with the gritty noise denoting welcome decay. Raving red banquettes lie asunder and menus that suckered visitors with promises of succulent highland steaks, gather dust. Having arisen, in luminous green, out of the ashes of the defunct Aberdeen steak houses, I can only hope that there are to be no more resurrections.
