C for canal

Enjoyed countless constitutionals along the Canal corridor up to the Chilterns but the Grand Union endurance challenge is a chunk too far so am content to connect with Frizztext’s C challenge

My nose is always happy, remembering last years winter, when it’s getting cold again, and the poor people start their ovens … let’s forget our summers…

  2. I love canals, that first image in particular brings back so many memories of walks along those that I grew up close to, though I have still never been on a narrow boat. I particularly love the way they provide a hidden and dramatically different environment in the heart of so many cities – Manchester and Birmingham spring to mind – although the ones of my childhood were country walks.
