- ‘recent posts’ are more readily read than ‘top’ or ‘related posts’
- a visible search button is the most useful
- an ‘about’ page is de rigeur (though I use Gravatar widget as substitute)
I’m not a betting woman but would have gambled on most of us using the WordPress reader to skim posts rather than go to the effort of visiting our blogs site. It seems that in fact the opposite is true which also means sidebar and footer widgets etc could be noticed.
