WPC: Blur

1-P1080251Photography is as much the art of the blur as the use of light. In this Easter still life, the softening of some of the detail gives depth to what would otherwise be a 2-d image.

Also, blurring, coupled with its opposite, detailing, draws the gaze precisely to where the photographer wants the viewer to look

Or with large aperture and slow shutter speed plus movement of camera or lens, the whole is beclouded in an illusion of action, even to the point of abstraction
