Weymouth away

Like many of our seaside towns, Weymouth does shabby chic in a mix of Georgian, Victorian and art deco heritage coupled with a post 60s neglect. Still the sea and sand keeps us coming and the chance to stretch our legs along the promenades on sunny days. Though we can never forget that from here Anzacs left for Gallipoli and American forces set sail for the Normandy beaches. [Click first image to start gallery slideshow]

And at the going down of the sun we remember them, as well as all those killed by terrorism – especially 84 men, women and children who died today in Nice, France
