Henry V111’s rotund fortress at Hurst Castle with its immensely thick walls and relatively small casements. One of the reasons I like this series is the light-dark combinations – after all that is what photography aims to capture. In this shot, I had erroneously turned the camera dial to one point colour – previously set to blue – which has cast a light mistiness to the scene. A happy accident methinks.
