Tuesday triptych: Grass

Grass is the common theme of the triptych and it may be a common sight but the textures are so photogenic especially as here where it meets the sea, windblown and sunlit. Otherwise known as Poaceae or Gramineae, the nigh ubiquitous grass family are monocotyledonous flowering plants. Meanwhile I am going to let some of it grow under my feet and take a short while off from blogging until Easter.

“A child said, What is the grass? fetching it to me with full
hands;
How could I answer the child?. . . .I do not know what it
is any more than he…”
