The Longest Day

and according to the London weather forecast, the hottest June day for 176 years (34 C). But in the half-shade this semi-double is in the pink. I always feel wistful at the summer solstice. Once I stayed up all night and saw a half moon rise over the Welsh mountains – I’ve never been the same since!

“What is pink? a rose is pink
By a fountain’s brink”…

How cool these words from Christina Rossetti – cue the fountain. Happy summertime!TT_fountain3

      1. Not looking too promising with the extended forecast, but getting back to blogging slowly can be done now with all this rain.

  1. I feel just the same as you, a bit wistful. Here it is cool after some really warm days. Midsummer is usually rather cool here, the warm weather coming in some weeks – provided the weather follows the old lines. of course..which it doesn’t do anymore…
    Wish you a great weekend.

Now have your say...
