The light yesterday went from sunny to overcast in a matter of minutes and the one shining object remaining in sight was the Canadian war memorial in Green Park. Made from red granite with bronze inset leaves, it signifies more than 100,000 Canadians and Newfoundlanders who lost their lives in both world wars.
