WPC: Place in the world

Like a fish out of water or perhaps a ship in a bottle, I live in the centre of Londongreenwich - ship in bottle
In my heart I seem to inhabit the far-from-the-madding-crowd woodlands, leafy lanes or the watery wilderness as here at the Deben estuary in Woodbridge, Suffolkwoodbridge - river deben
But London has its watery consolations with the Thames threading like a coronary artery east to west- and the familiarity of all its sights have bred fondness rather than contempt. millenium bridge, river thames
Besides, this city manages to keep a fresh perspective, constantly mixing modernity with the old established architecture. There is so much to see and enjoy, and for now, it is where I call home.greenwich and city views

Posted for the weekly photo challenge: Place in the World and dedicated to Kiki with thanks for her company on our visit to Greenwich – see her gallery for more images of London

  1. Thank you for the mention, Laura – pleasure was all mine, so glad to have met with you again! And always so interesting to see how different (or similar) our pictures of the same subjects turn out.
